Dear Family of Monroe Christian School,
Preparations are underway for our annual school auction. We are delighted to announce our theme, An evening of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.)! Love the Lord . . . with all your MIND! On Saturday, April 22nd, 2017, we will gather at First Baptist Church in Monroe for an adult-only evening with fellow parents, relatives, and friends of Monroe Christian School. This evening is filled with a silent auction, dinner, live auction, and the ever-popular Dessert Dash. It’s always a fun time with lots of laughter – join us! Invitations will be sent out soon.
The annual auction is our main fundraiser for the school. All proceeds directly benefit Monroe Christian School and its families. Net proceeds help keep our tuition affordable and contribute to the overall well-being of our school.
Each family’s participation is critical to the success of the auction.
How can you help?
- Attend the auction! Bring friends! RSVP right away when you receive the invitation.
- Start reaching out to your community of friends, family members, and businesses you frequent for donations. This is a great opportunity for a business to make a tax-deductible contribution and advertise their goods and services. The donation deadline is Friday, March 31, 2017, so the time to begin procuring donations is now! Procurement forms and letters to businesses are available in the office, and they are also attached to this newsletter. If you are using the two-part form from the office, the completed white copy gets attached to the donation; the yellow copy is the tax receipt for the donor. If you are using a digital copy, please be sure to print one to go with the item and one for the donor.
- Make personal donations of cash, goods, or services. Please use the same procurement form that you are using for businesses. Donation deadline is March 31.
- Volunteering your time. We have many opportunities for volunteers to offer their time and talents to work as a team. Part of the fun of the auction is getting to know other parents. Please join us and share your creativity, talent, and energy. Your time spent goes toward the minimum of 20 service hours required of families.
